Philosophy

Our Montessori classrooms are carefully prepared by Montessori teachers to provide activities for all age groups and developmental levels. We follow the Montessori philosophy of learning, as taught by Dr. Maria Montessori. The primary goal is the development of the human potential. This is accomplished by:

  1. Allowing each child to experience the excitement of learning based on his/her choice.
  2. Helping each child develop skills for learning so that his/her potential will be maximized.

Classroom Goals

The children's own inner motivation determines the activities that they choose each day, and the class goals as well. In addition, the teachers direct learning as they observe the children and see their individual needs. Children who are not ready to be self-directed are offered the necessary support.

"The first essential for the child's development is concentration. The child who concentrates is immensely happy."
- Maria Montessori
