Greetings from the Head of School

I have a friend who says that before she had children, every spring she looked for a new apartment. Now that she has children every spring she has to think about schools. Parents at Countryside find that once they make the decision to be a part of the Countryside community, they never look back.

At Countryside, parents and teachers form a partnership that permits the children to develop not only academic strengths, but develop character as well. We invite you to enjoy our website and after you think you know all about us, make an appointment to see us in person. It's the only way to experience the hum of activity, the aroma of the day's snack baking, the beauty of the classrooms, the taste of the refreshment offered to you by one of the children, and the firm handshake as you are greeted by many of the children. This is what makes our school special.

Maria Montessori said: "Character formation cannot be taught. It comes from experience and not from explanation." We are mission driven, and every moment at school leads deliberately to the development of respect, responsibility and resourcefulness.
